Love Notes

Apr 05

7:00 pm–10:00 pm

The Grand 608 1 Street SW

Join Harpreet M Dayal for an evening of poetry and affirmations of love, loss, hope, and life’s little joys.

Experience poetry and Indian classical melodies intertwine, weaving a rich tapestry of story and sound. From the quiet stirrings of self-discovery to the echoes of love, loss, and resilience, each word and note unfolds with intention—an invitation to find yourself within the rhythm of shared experience.

Featuring Live Music by:

Arjun K. Verma – Arjun has spent his entire life steeped in the tradition of North Indian Classical Music.  Arjun, the son of internationally performing sitarist Roop Verma, a disciple of Ali Akbar Khan and Ravi Shankar, began learning sitar from his father at age five.

Sunny Matharu – Growing up in a musical family, Sunny began his training in Tabla at a very young age.  His training started with Ustad Satwant Singh, who gave him a strong foundation in Tabla playing. To this day, he continues to learn under the guidance of Tabla maestro Pandit Yogesh Samsi, one of the foremost tabla players of the Punjab Gharana.
