Join us on Tuesday, April 7 from 7-8 pm as internationally exhibited sculptor and award-winning artist, Dick Averns, introduces his artwork, Any Day Now. The artwork is a recent acquisition to the AFA Art Collection and is currently on display at the AFA art house in the exhibition, New Views.

This artist talk explores Averns’ focus on illuminating language as part of a decades-long interdisciplinary art practice. 
The recurrence of text-based art, community engagement, and public art, will all be explored: mapping a continuum bookended by language as power, and light as life. 

Doors open at 6:30 pm and the event is free to attend with no registration required.
