Apply for the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) Business Support Grant

The City is offering a Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) Business Support Grant.  The grant amount is $2000 per successful applicant. This grant will support Calgary’s economic recovery by providing financial assistance to businesses that are impacted by the Alberta Provincial Restrictions Exemption Program. Healthy businesses are the foundation of a thriving economy, and The City’s new grant program supports business owners as they ensure compliance with municipal and provincial public health measures.

Applications will be accepted from October 12, 2021, to November 30, 2021, or until funds are exhausted (whichever is sooner). Grants will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

App to scan COVID-19 vaccine QR codes is now available

Albertans can get their enhanced vaccine record with a QR code online at without creating an acount. Albertans can also request a printed proof with a QR code from a local registry office or by calling 811, at no cost. Other forms of proof of vaccination will continue to be accepted until Nov. 15, including paper records from vaccine providers or a screenshot, or a printed record.

Eau Claire & Bow River Lumber Co. is on the move

The Eau Claire & Bow River Lumber Co. building is being moved a block south from its current location on October 14. The building will be preserved in this location until it is moved back to its permanent location in the newly redesigned Eau Claire Plaza.
