Kristina Kuzmic: The Hope and Humor Tour

May 02

8:00 pm–11:00 pm

608 1 St SW, Calgary, AB T2P 1M6

Kristina Kuzmic’s Hope & Humor show is more than a comedy special. It’s an hour that will leave every viewer feeling less alone and more empowered to face whatever chaos life throws their way. Kristina, in her undeniably authentic way, takes us on a peaks and valley journey full of laughter and even a few tears, with a through-line of four things she's done wearing: other people's judgements, guilt, the pressure to be perfect, and the unrealistic fantasy of what life should look like. Many have described her show as stand-up-comedy meets a great therapy session and have raved that the show left them feeling validated and empowered. From motherhood, to divorc raved that the show left them feeling validated and empowered. From motherhood, to divorce, poverty, mental health struggles, and learning to embrace her authenticity, Kristina delivers her stories with full vulnerability and always leaves us with both laughter and hope, culminating in a unique final act that you have to watch. Kristina’s goal is to be for others what she needed when she was at her lowest. When Kristina hit rock bottom, newly divorced with two young kids, on food stamps, depressed, suicidal and feeling like she might never crawl out of the darkness, the only thing she felt confident in was that she could cook a great meal on a tiny budget. In a desperate attempt to find her worth, she began cooking for strangers. Her Wednesday Night Dinners helped her realize that, even when she felt like she had nothing, she still had something to offer. She is now passionate about helping others prioritize their mental health and not allow the few things that are completely out of their control to control them completely. This event is age restricted; must be 18+ to enter. "The only show out there that will leave you empowered after peeing your pants laughing and ugly crying!" - Kay J. Leon "Real life!! Like chatting with a friend, the type that tells you what you NEED to hear, not what you want to hear. Best show ever!" - Gillian Nelson "This is the most amazing show! You will laugh and cry and your heart will be so full by the end of it." - Karina Roe "You'll laugh a lot, cry a little, and leave greatly inspired to be a better parent/human." - Molly Fharms "I loved it because sometimes I need hard truths to be delivered with a large dose of laughter to wash it down." - Rob Emanuel "Funny, empowering, and a feel good show!" - Cindy Salas Winner of the Mark Burnett and Oprah Winfrey reality TV competition “Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star” Over 1 billion video views Her first book, “Hold On, But Don’t Hold Still” (released through Penguin Random House in February 2020) is a Publishers Weekly Best Seller and has been #1 in multiple categories on Amazon Kristina’s second book “I Can Fix This! (and other lies I’ve told myself)” is scheduled for release in 2023
